In honor of our 100th post. . .

. . .we bought a little piano. I am quite excited for this little addition to our already little house;)
Steve and a few friends picked my piano up this morning and had it sitting in my living room when I arrived home. It is the same type of piano that I grew-up playing on and I just love it already! Cal did NOT enjoy the noise. . . we'll see if she becomes better friends with our piano or not. Steve & friends--thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules to move my piano!
We did have to rearrange to fit everything in. . .but as you can see, our spoiled-rotten Cal still managed to keep her chair.
Tonight , Steve and I went out on a little date--to our favorite pizza place in Ghent. We always play air-hockey while we wait for our pizza to bake...tonight we tied 1/1...and left it at that...it's just better that way;) We drove around and looked at our favorite houses afterwards. I was sorely tempted to pick up my favorite *bucks ...but remembered that the last time I did that at 8pm, I was awake until around 4am... Hope your Saturday was a great one! Oh yes, also in honor of my 100th post, I received a speeding ticket yesterday...........................................

  1. This is my favorite blog, and I am proud to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed reading all 100 posts. You know I would have beat you had we taken air hockey to a third game. I was nice to let you win one. Haha. Love you Sa.

  2. I'm so jealous!! I've been trying to figure out a way to fit one here in our place, but I just can't do it. I learned to play as a kid & would love to brush up and even go a little further! Your piano is beautiful & such a great fit in your room.

  5. Oh, I am so glad you could get a piano. I was so happy to get one last spring! I also really like the "Scrapbook holder" is it a plate holder or a music stand?

  7. Oh, I'm so glad you have a piano now, Sarah! You'll enjoy it so much. I didn't know you didn't have one before! How on earth did you practice for things? And so sorry about that speeding ticket - I'm sure your husband was so understanding. :-)

  8. Okay - I'm back and I just realized that you had Mary Lynn Van Gelderen's book on your piano. That is my FAVORITE book to play through for my "quiet piano time". The songs are so beautiful and simple at the same time!

  13. Sorry about your speeding ticket; they are really cracking down here! They need $ to pay for ALL this road work! Congratulations on your piano; it is beautiful. It is neat how God provides a piano for us at the right time. What is your favorite pizza place? We went to Cogan's last Sunday and had their pizza and sat on their patio. It was nice out there even though they were out of clean silverware and the service was slow. We still enjoyed the fellowship with other believers and the pizza of course. Have fun playing your piano. :)

  14. Congrats on your 100th...and monumental ticket!! :(
Your piano is beautiful and I was also wondering how a piano teacher has gone so long without one of her own. Yay for you!
A few years back (b4 kids) I flew home to see my family and my hubby surprised me with my very own piano when I returned! It even has a neat background story. OK, now I think I might need to post about it! :) Your house is beautiful as always!

ps I have your "contemplation" color paintchip in my notebook for our basement projects. Could you slip a pic of your room in that color...I'd love to see the decor you put with it! or you could email it to me...irishmomma14@verizon.net. thanks.

  20. ha. ha. that is funny about your framed bottle! I suppose that would have to be one rather LARGE bird if it were a feather, now that I look at it. :)
