Attention, attention!!!

Today is, believe it or not, national "Men Make Dinner Night"!! I must say, my sweetie cooks many dinners for me throughout the year--so I probably should cook myself tonight! But maybe for those of you who slave away every day yourself. . .this could be a good thing!
Of course my husband has had a few oopsies. . .but all in all, Steve is a better cook than I am for sure!

(I'm not sure what you all are doing right now, but I am watching 4 men I have never seen in my life, who do not speak English, install new carpet in our hallway & upstairs! ...And one of them has been on the phone in my bathroom for the last 20 mintues!! Let's see...how do you say the word "boss" in Spanish???? "jefe"???)

  1. I'll have all you readers know however that I actually burned that "sandwich" twice!!! Yes, I thought a pizza sandwich would be great toasted, but I am not Quiznos so I had to do it myself. So I put the oven on broil to toast it really quick. Well I stepped away for a second and before I knew it...burned. And then when I tried it again...yup...stepped away...burned. Lesson learned, I don't think so. So men, cook for your wife tonight or when in doubt eat out.

  3. So glad to know it's National Men Cook Dinner night; I'll have to make sure Jeremy is informed :) You guys crack me up! I actually burned a sandwich twice, too, not long after we got married. By the second one, Jeremy was so hungry he ate it anyway =o) Hope that worker gets back to work, soon!

  4. Hahaha! I love this day! I'll have to pass it along to Don, however, I was planning on just simply sticking a nice frozen pizza in the oven, so I guess I can handle this one! =) I agree that my husband is a better cook than I as well!! I think we had this conversation before! =)

  6. I'm glad you clarified what that thing was in Stephen's hand. I was very curious. I guess Nate missed National Men Cook Day. Maybe he'll just have to make up for it tonight. :-)

  8. Sarah, I think you should put a red skirt around your pedestal sink. I know this isn't where this comment is supposed to go -- but you didn't give me enough choices in the other places. You need an "other" category!

  9. Ummm, where did you find this oh so interesting factoid? I told michael that I read on your blog that it was national men cook day, and he just laughed at me- as if I was making it up to get him to work for me! (truthfully, Michael's skills in the kitchen are quite unrefined, and he wouldn't mind me saying so) But I do have to give him credit for giving me many a break in the kitchen by means of takeout!
