Job 1:21 God gives. God takes. God's name be ever blessed. . .

Dear Reading Friends,
My husband forwarded this to me today. . .I hope it is a blessing to you as much as it was to me.

"Eliot was born with an undeveloped lung, a heart with a hole in it and DNA that placed faulty information into each and every cell of his body. However, that could not stop the living God from proclaiming Himself through this boy who never uttered a word. In the midst of heartbreaking tragedy, the Mooney family found the presence of God strengthening, comforting, and guiding them. Their story reminds us to seek God and endure our struggles rather than blame Him for our hardships."

  3. wow Sarah!! I can't even imagine. What a great testimony of God's goodness and grace in peoples' lives. Most people would bury themselves in sorrow but they chose to celebrate God's gift to them...even if for only 99 days.

  4. What an awesome testimony! Thanks so much for posting it. I agree with Val. . .it would've been easier to be sad for what they missed, but it was awesome to see them be thrilled for what they had!

  5. I was overwhelmed with tears, knowing their joy, imagining the sadness of their loss, and grateful four times over for the gifts He's given to us. God IS good and He grants such peace whether He gives or takes away. Thanks for sharing! Psalm 84:11.

  6. Wow, what a moving story! What a great example that couple is to other Christians.
    PS
I laughed when I read the post on Stephen's encounter with the brain. TJ has had a couple interesting experiences at EVMS when he had that route. One time he saw cadaver, gross!
