North Cack-a-lacky

We had a great time in NC--it was too busy for pictures, apparently! We were glad to visit Community Baptist again, and Dave & Sara and their kids. Mark & Trish (my other brother) and their family were also there from New York--so it was nice to see everyone! Steve and I are praying for God's leading after seminary here. We have loved visiting Community (Dave & Sara's church) and are praying about a possible move after completing seminary here in VA Beach. Obviously. . .this is still a year-and-a-half away. . .so we have lots of time to pray about it. But if that is where God leads us, we will enjoy ministering and growing at Community while Steve pursues more education (specifically in NT). I have to admit, I had somewhat of an "aghhhhh" moment while we were in NC. I was excited for my husband to meet with and seek advice from professors who are world-renowned for their knowledge in the NT. . .however, the thought hit me. . . "we are right in the middle of seminary now. . .and we are considering another degree??" I've been challenged in my thinking through God's Word and different people's thoughts to be content with where God has me now, and where He will lead me later. . .and if that involves more school. . .then God will take me through it. . .others have survived. . .right????????

  4. Sarah, I love your glasses! They are so cute on you! Glad you had a good trip. I've had a few of those arrgh moments, too, with Jeremy's schooling. It has been a great lesson for me to be reminded to trust in God's way, and God's timing. Will be praying for you guys with the decisions to be made.

  5. Hey guys!! I totally know what you mean about having ahhh!! moment! Dave and I are done in a year and a half, too, and it's just kinda interesting waiting on the Lord to see where He will lead us. It's an exciting time, too because you never know what God has in store. :) We'll be praying for you when God brings you to mind. Please do the same for us!

  7. Glad you had a nice time with family.
I'm sure I would feel the same way if I thought T.J would be pursuing more schooling right out of seminary. You're right that it's so important to be content with where God has us now. Sometimes it's easy for me to think of our seminary years as a transition time in our life before we go out into full-time ministry. But in all reality, this isn't a time of transition. This is our life and we can still try to take every opportunity to serve Him even though we're not in full-time ministry yet. Wow, I just totally wrote way too much...sorry. Just wanted to share what I was thinking.
