Why MY house?????

As I was enjoying setting out my pumpkins and planting my mums & winter pansies, I noticed a "no- good, very bad, horrible" smell coming from the front of my house. Steve & I had noticed for the last few days that when we first stepped into our house, something smelled a little off. . .Well, we established quickly that it was most-likely something dead underneath the house...I called Zoo-Pro, and was quoted $189-229. Needless to say, Steve decided to do the dirty-work. So today, my Steve removed a large, black (dead) cat from underneath the front of our house. Really this is no surprise, because: 1) we had seen this cat roaming our street, but had not seen him in about a week and a half. 2) I HATE cats. . .so of course it would choose to crawl under MY house and die!!!!

I am very thankful that this problem has been "dealt with"! And to my brave husband. . .again, what would I do without you! Hope all of your homes are dead-animal free this October!!

  3. Wow Sarah. Your dad would be proud. Even prouder if Steve had killed it himself! LOL! :-)
I LOVE CATS and presently have two.
    Milo loves them both. :-)

  4. Oh, Sarah, that "stinks!" No pun intended ;). You know how cats are - they always like to be around people that hate them - she knows she found the perfect place to die. I'm getting to hate cats myself...we have families of them that live under our house but we're trying to remedy that. No easy task. Steve, I put you right up there with my husband for bravery who quietly does all kinds of things like that! It amazes me to no end. Sarah is very blessed, which I am sure she knows.

  5. The SAME thing happened to us! That is a smell that is very hard to describe...but is easily the worst thing I have ever smelled. The animal control around here was going to charge us to come out and get the cat out and a disposal fee. It was going to be over $200...so Brad did the dirty work. I am so thankful for such a wonderful hubby!
