For no apparent reason. What. So. Ever.

I just was thinking about a couple things that drive me in-sane and a couple of them struck me as funny.  So I thought I would share.  Feel free to vent along with me. Such an encouraging post, isn't it?!!!

It drives me crazy when. . .

1) family members misspell family members' names.

2) when family members don't return your phone calls. Like after 4 times of trying to get a hold of them. { I will refrain from mentioning names, but Marc, I mean Mark, I am glad that we finally were able to talk this week:) }

3) when naughty piano students don't practice. EVER.  I have one particular student that frequently tells me that he "forgot" to practice. Hello?  How do you forget to practice, especially when you have taken piano for 4 years?  The only reason I teach him is because I love his family to death.  And his other 3 siblings actually do practice.

4) when our mailman doesn't pick up an out-going piece of mail.  Yes, it happens frequently. Yes, we have reported him.  Also note that he drives his mail truck from house to house to deliver the mail. Yes, lazy is a good word for him.

5) when businesses fail to update their information. Case in point: last weekend my husband took me on a wonderful weekend get-away.  On our way, he informed me that there was an Einstein's Bagel shop right around the corner from our hotel.  This made me HAPPY.  What made me sad was that when my sweet husband went out the next morning for our breakfast, he arrived at the googled location to find a Qdoba!  Desperate, I suggested calling 4-1-1 and we happily found another location of Einstein's. Phew.

6) when my dad plants fake flowers in the yard.

7) when Steve accidentally leaves a sharpie in his FedEx pants and I do the wash without realizing. . .

8) when I get a Starbucks and the sleeve isn't perfectly matched up and centered with the hole on the top of the cup. I know, strange.

9) when someone clips their nails in church

  2. um. park the truck and walk the block:) My father-in-law was a post-man for 30 years plus. . .was appalled at the behavior of our mail man:)

    I thought it was very funny when our mailman had his supervisor following him one day and there was no truck to be seen. . .I almost asked our mailman why he looked so sweaty that day . .. but I refrained:)

    Just so you know...#4 is the #1 way people get their identity stolen! I know it is inconvenient but please take your mail to the post office so you don't get your identity stolen. :o)

    When I taught piano, I would not let the student move on to new music unless they had practiced what I asked for. Essentially, it was a practice time at the lesson. This would only really work if the parents cared about progress for their money. :-() Geena--although I am not a family member so HA!

  11. In Canada they don't pick up mail from your mail box ever even when they have delivered it to the wrong place! Stamps cost a lot more and the mail service is much slower!

  18. ha ha Erin!!! I thought the exact same thing when I was writing my list. I didn't want to end on an odd number. . .but I did. . .it is kind of like playing a scale and ending on the leading tone, huh?!
