We do love our cyclists, here in Oregon. . .

Steve and I were so enamored at how long it took this poor lady to cross the street. Poor thing. Had she shed a few pounds of her precious cargo, she might have made it across sooner. It was painful to watch, bless her heart!

{I did learn a few thangs from my time in the south. . .if you add "bless their heart" to any thing mean you've just said about someone, it cancels it out!}

I mean, seriously, could she fit another basket on there???? Bless her heart!

  3. So funny Sarah. It made me laugh especially because I was just discussing the whole southern "bless their heart" phrase yesterday...as if it softens the blow that is about to come :) And you must carry your camera with you everywhere!? Or do you go looking for these things ; )
    Can't wait to see pics of baby Graeme (and his nursery)

  5. Because my family lived in Alabama for four years and hearing "bless her heart" over and over, I got a huge kick out of your post. It is so true. Something is said, and then it's almost as if to reassure everyone about their kind intentions, that phrase comes next. :-)

    But "bless her heart" is so true of this picture. And I have the same question as Nina. How do you have your camera ready for these occasions? I see things constantly and wish I had my camera on me...

  10. LOL!!!! Are you sure it's Oregon..."they" seem to follow YOU guys wherever you are!?!?!? ;)

    SO, I had a dream the other night. My friend Jamie Potts (who lives in VB) was bringing me into a room saying, "It's your birthday surprise!" And there I walk into a "church" building and look up and there is a choir singing to me...and in the choir is an excited & smiling couple waving at me...it was you and Steve!!!??? LOL. Isn't that hilarious! Aw, the wonders of pregnancy...and maybe someday, we will get to meet! John is always talking about taking a trip out west one of these times?? :)

    Hope you're feeling well!!!! (as well as can be expected!)
