Seriously, one of the best purchases ever.

I highly recommend a leather couch.
And after having G-baby, I highly, highly recommend a leather couch.
Does anyone know why our leather couch is much darker today than the day we took this picture?
[picture was taken in 2006]
Our couch definitely has a much darker hue to it now.
maybe it has something to do with the fact that we bought our couch at a discount place called The Dump...................
[All of my Virginia friends will know exactly what I am talking about. I can just hear that annoying commercial the dump, to the dump, to the dump, dump, dump. I am very sorry if this is now stuck in your mind for the rest of the day!]

  1. love it, and good to know!
    it must go with e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g.

  2. Thank you for reminding me of my FAVORITE jingle! :)

  3. Haha- I did that love that jingle! Funny reminder! But I agree- a leather couch is such a blessing when you have a "spit up machine" around the house ;)

  4. Leather couches are the best--especially with kids! We have a great one from Restoration Hardware (the Maxwell) and I'm still in love with it. It's the kind of leather that actually looks better all worn-looking and scratched up.

  5. Me again, and here's the scoop on the leather. The darkening of your leather is a result of oxidation. It's actually a patina, which I didn't know. It's the same thing that happens to copper over time. With leather, instead of turning green like copper does, it turns a darker, deeper hue.

Thank you so much for reading here and sharing life with me!
