{a huge dose of} monday medicine

a friend of mine, here in Oregon, sent me the following clip from an article in the latest Pregnancy Resource Center's news letter. It is written by the PRC's director.

Two of my daughters have rescued six children who lived in some of the worse orphanages in the third world. These children were being neglected, mistreated, and abused. Five of these children were adopted into their families. The sixth was cared for into adulthood & is still being supported. If they had not obeyed the Lord’s commandment, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation” as well as “pure and undefiled religion before our God and Father is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress…” then these precious children would still be trapped in a terrible darkness. At least one maybe two would have died in that place. One of those six children ran from her mother who was trying to kill her and did succeed in killing her brother. Prior to this experience she had been raped and beaten daily by her caretakers in the orphanage. This is a miniature picture of the world that is under the domain of Satan, the kingdom of darkness. This is the cosmos diabolicus, Satan’s world, a world of misery and despair. It is a world separated from the life God intended for them to have. The good news is that the passion of God’s heart is to deliver and save them!

This gives me tears of joy and hope! Steve and I eagerly look forward to the day when we will, by God's leading and in His timing, bring home our adopted child( ren )!

tomorrow, I will be telling you how we are starting our adoption fund.....
words cannot describe my excitement!
