safely home from here. . .
what a brilliant Creator and loving Friend. I am so blessed to be a child of God, wife to my Steve, and mommy to my Graeme-bear. I knew Oregon was beautiful, but this week God showed us more of His amazing artistry through Oregon's high desert country. This week would not have been possible without the kindness of friends. Let me just say, we felt very, very loved. We would easily say that this vacation took the number one spot on our "taken vacations" list. We were able to completely fill the week with relaxation. We arrived home with no feeling of needing to take a vacation from our vacation, if you know what I mean. We spent the week in the middle of nowhere, basically. And, we loved it. Thank you, Jesus, for your sweet, sweet gifts, for answered prayer, and for rest for the weary.
we spent a lot of time loving on a certain little boy. . .
a certain little boy who absolutely did. not. let. his daddy out of his sight--for the entire week. And it made me so happy. Okay, so I'll be honest, I was a little sad that he held out those little arms more for daddy than for me this week, but Steve's smile made all of my jealousy disappear. Almost. ahem......
you would think that our Graeme-bear would be skinnier from all of the squeezes and hugs he receives.........
new fall and winter chucks for mister Graeme.........
( thank you, great grandpa and great grandma Branine! )
and now we are home, feeling a little like this cute little duck--wanting to keep our heads below the surface and not come back to the real life. But, it is good to be home.
I do love me my home sweet home.
