funnies from my little northwest boy..........

First of all, I saw these on my sister's blog this morning via house to home and I'm thinking they would be great!  Maybe I could crank them out between middle of the night feedings for Job, wink wink..............

One morning last week, Graeme came down the stairs and I noticed him staring at the deer decal over the piano.  Steve and I had just finished putting it together the evening before and it was Graeme's first time to see it.  I was about to say to him, "Do you see the deer?", when I heard his little excited voice say, "I see a caribou!".  I tell you what, he'll be smarter than his mama in about two weeks, wink wink.  Caribou, I couldn't get over that one............

Graeme wasn't feeling well last week.  He had a bit of a cold, which seemed to bother him the most at night.  Now, I'm not anti-medicine, but it's not usually the first thing I run to.  All of this became apparent to us as we gave Graeme his first dose--he was licking the inside of the medicine cup and begging for more.  Even the next morning, he was asking, ever so nicely, for it, "mama, please more medicine, more medicine".  I told him he sounded better and didn't need any, but when we gave him some more that night, he was pretty elated about it!

And, a Graeme + pregnancy funny..........
I had an appointment for Job yesterday and as I was sitting there waiting for one of the midwives to come in, something went terribly wrong.  Terrible in a funny way.  First off, it was one of those appointments.  The one where they check everything and you resemble Eve. And then it happened.  I had packed my purse full of pretzels and apricots and cars and you name it to keep Graeme busy during the appointment.  I was sitting up on the table and Graeme was a few feet away sitting on a low bench.  I  had left my purse on the bench with Graeme and to my horror I looked over just in time to see him grab the large bag of pretzels--we're not talking ziploc bag here, we are talking full size, brand new bag of pretzels-- by the WRONG. END. and happy birthday to the floor, pretzels went everywhere.  Every. where.  It was like life was in slow motion, except that I was praying that my midwife would knock before she came in, for her sake, wink wink!  I was so relieved to get them cleaned up before she came in and was ever so excited when she finally did come in, because she is my favorite midwife, who happens to have twin three year olds at home and completely understood why the floor was crunchy.

we like to keep life happenin' around here;-)

happy tuesdaying...............
