my vintage plates + a guest post
Last week several vintage plates and dishes made their way to my home. They were mine for all of six dollars. All thirty three pieces of them. Imagine my excitement when I discovered, through looking up the factory markings, that the cream china was made in 1913. ( the flowered china was made in 1943, the year my dad was born! ) I feel so privileged to own china that is one hundred years old and I really, really, really wish that my plates could talk.
And speaking of plates, I am really in need of a few new recipes to dish out! Quick and easy ones. Read: I really like my crockpot right now. If you have a crockpot recipe ( or another ) that is tried and true, I'd love to hear it.
I wanted to mention that, later this week, my friend Paige will be guest posting here and you will not want to miss it. Finding her blog and getting to know Paige has been such a blessing. Look for her post later this week.
We are away this week and are so thrilled to be spending time with family. Later this week, we'll be celebrating the marriage of my husband's brother. Words cannot describe how happy we are for Nate + Katie. By the way, if you'd like to pray for our return airplane trip, we would really appreciate it. I should say, those around us would really appreciate it! ( smile )
