Project 52 | Installment 3

A quick glance to the calendar today and I realized that we're already on the doorstep of April.  In like a lion and out like a lamb, so they say about March and don't I believe it. Another month already lying in the dust, a new one full of possibility laying right ahead. This photography project, Project 52, begun by an australian mama, has been challenging and rewarding. I was always under the impression that I took plenty of photographs. Plenty. I've realized that I need a few more. More of the people I love. Today, I thought I would share a couple of links with you of others that have joined Project 52. Here are a few of my favorite entries that I have come across this week. Here, here, here, here, and here.

Graeme waving to us + the cherry blossom trees // our sweet Jobie and his amazing blues // Jodi's Project 52 button // Graeme's first 'mac + cheese and hot-dog' meal thanks to daddy. It was a hit! Thankfully, it was organic! // a tired little Jobie // a few weeks ago, I bought flowers at Trader Joe's and Graeme found them and brought them to me as a gift. little boy, big heart! // Jobie loves to hold hands during prayer and usually holds on for a little while longer after the 'amen'. And, usually, he's already dug into his food. I love the crumbs on his thumb! // I love it when our projects intersect // Jobie toes!

I can't tell you how much I am looking forward to celebrating Jesus and his redemption for us. Tomorrow night, my family and I will be attending our church's Good Friday service and I am so thankful for this opportunity-- a time set aside to focus on Jesus' death and resurrection. I should go ahead and admit that I wasn't planning on doing Easter baskets for the boys this year. And then, all of the sudden, it just happened. And I'm so glad about it. So thankful to be able to show our boys God's love through the written Word and through tangible things, like Easter baskets. Happy Easter, dear friends.

Friend, you are very sweet. Goodness, remember that time I thought I would show you a new setting on your camera and couldn't even find the on button? Ha! Some teacher I would be, wink wink! I'm looking forward to *your* pictures in the next several months. I know they'll make me want to book a Hawaii ticket pronto : )

  3. Love the above comment about ear wax.............:)

Your pictures are gorgeous, as always. Seriously amazing! I love them all, but my favorite is the second one; of Job and the blanket. I feel like it just shows his cute little personality!

I know! What is going on with the spam comments on my blog recently? Goodness! : ) Oh boy, I was so excited about that little picture of Jobie. I too think it represents his little personality pretty well. I wish you all could meet him!

  4. I love year-long photo porjects. I did one a few years ago called 52 Weeks. It was the best (And hardest) self-project I've ever done. Love the photos this week.

    1. Aubrie! Yes! I remember that project because it totally inspired me to do my 26 week-long yarn letter project, which went wonderfully until I was pregnant and couldn't handle the morning sickness! :} Thanks for the encouragement-- I feel like I'm already reaping the benefits of Project 52-- like you said, it's challenging and wonderful all at the same time.
